Over the last several weeks we have had a number of phone calls from customers of Comsat in Pattaya wanting service for their systems as they seemed to have stopped.

As we have been saying to these people 'you should contact your provider in the first instance to service your equipment', but it would appear Comsat has gone / closed (like so many others over the years) as they say they have had no response to phone calls, emails and comsats web site is not there any more.

Much of this has been related to the renewal of subscription cards, which sorry we can not help with, as we have no idea where comsat obtained the cards from in the first instance, so how do we know how to renew them?

So yes by all means we are happy to help where we can, but please understand there is a limit to just what we can do for you.

We maybe slightly more expensive than the fly-by-nighters, but be assured we are here for the long run.

It is at times like this I would love to have a rant about "if it looks to be good to be true, it most likely isn't in the long term" as we have seen this sort of action so many times here over the years.

[if comsat is not closed, then comsat need to communicate this with the world and in particular your customers, so we do not get all the grief from your customers and from a company not even related to us, who in their early days stole much of their web sites html content from jsat.tv, as even a quick email to your customers saying comsat were closing down and here is a alternative company who can support you and your purchase going forward, in the consumer space this would be expected from a normal company, not just vanish]
