The super 15's are about to kick off, but unlike other years it will NOT be on the Australian network (as they do not have the rights to play it) instead it will be on Super Sport in SD and free to view (for a limited time) in HD (1920x1080i) on Setanta Sport on the C Band.

Setanta Sports to broadcast Super Rugby in Asia

Setanta Sports, the new rugby channel for Asia, will broadcast all 125 televised matches from the new Vodacom Super Rugby season, starting this weekend with live coverage of all matches from the opening round.

As well as more Super Rugby, Setanta will also broadcast live coverage of every match from the Tri-Nations, as well as matches from the Absa Currie Cup and ITM Cup.

The Setanta Sports channel is currently available in Hong Kong and Sri Lanka, and pan-Asia via Setanta's online player 'Setanta-I'. Viewers in Singapore can enjoy all of the Super Rugby on StarHub's sports channel SuperSports, through an arrangement with Setanta. In Malaysia and Brunei, Super Rugby will be available as part of Setanta programming blocks on the Astro Supersport channel.

Setanta is in active negotiations with TV platforms across Asia to make the channel available throughout the region.
